There are three types of network:

1. LAN(local Area Network)
2. MAN(Metropolitan Area Network)
3. WAN(Wide Area Network)

These Three network type are all types of network that are used in all over the world any other info about more networks is wrong.

LAN(local Area Network):

In network words the LAN stands for (Local Area Network).It is the simplest type of the network.It covers a small area.It is used to connect the computer and some more other devices within office or a building or organizations of education field.LAN is often used to share the data,information and programs.

The Speed of LAN is very fast then WAN and MAN.It is very High Speed network.Because it can be install in small area that is why its speed is more then other networks.Data transmission speeds of LAN are typically from 10-Mbps to 1000-Mbps. It is much faster then data transmission over the telephone lines.

Uses Of LAN:

• One copy of software can be shared by all users in LAN.
• The Data to share in LAN is more secure that is being copied.

MAN(Metropolitan Area Network):

In the Network Field The MAN stands for Metropolitan Area Network.This type of network covers an area of a city.Man is larger Than LAN but smaller then WAN.It is mostly used to connect two or more LANs network in a city or village and or town.

Uses Of MAN:

• The MAN network are used by the city Police.
• The MAN is used by Cable-TV networks in city.
• The network are used to connect different colleges in under city.

Benefits:

• MAN is more faster then LAN.
• The Speed of MAN is higher faster then WAN and LAN network.

WAN(Wide Area Network):

In the Network Field The WAN stands for Wide Area Network.This Type of network covers a large area.It connect computers and some other networks devices in different cities and countries.WAN is consists of several LANs connected together.The computers in WAN are often connected through transmission rate of WAN is typically from 56 Kbps to 50 Mbps.WAN is expensive than LAN.It is not fast as LAN.The Internet is the largest WAN in the world.
